What Is a Property Purchase POA?
A Property Purchase Power of Attorney is a notarized special POA authorizing your agent to purchase a property and complete the ownership transfer and registration before Dubai Land Department (DLD) in your name.
DLD requires the POA to include clear purchase and registration wording. A general POA or vague wording may be rejected at the Trustee Centre.
With this POA, the buyer can complete the transaction through an agent — from signing the sale agreement to payment at the Trustee Centre and receiving the new Title Deed.
What Can the Agent Do?
- Sign the sale and purchase agreement or Form F on your behalf
- Pay the property price and DLD fees at the Trustee Centre
- Complete transfer and registration procedures
- Obtain the developer NOC
- Sign DLD transfer documents
- Receive the new Title Deed in the principal’s name
Important: The POA gives the agent authority to act on your behalf only. It does not transfer ownership to the agent. The property is registered in the principal’s name.
